I usually just count 1-2-3-4, 1-2-3-4 .. (in mind I count the number of bars, what I sometimes might forget..)
That's called feeling for rithm, You can learn it (don't ask me how)
-
you just have to listen and feel when it begins ends, or count in time?
-
how do you know when the phrase begins/ends?
-

im totally in love with ur tutorials!! im 22 years old and im hopelessly getting drawn towards the art of mixing, whereas, by profession, i am a 3d Animator! i dont even have the equipments cos i cant afford em. is it too late for me to dream about being a DJ someday? also, what equipments would u recommend for beginners and how much would it cost to buy them?

To be a dj! The only way you could NEVER be a dj is if you were dead! Just because you are , say 50 , so what!, it's never too late!
