1A Auto shows you how to repair, install, fix, change or replace a worn out, vibrating or groaning front wheel bearing hub. This video is applicable to 1998-2008 Chevy S-10 Blazer, 1998-2004 S-10 Pickup Truck, GMC Jimmy or S15 Sonoma models. When your Hub starts to go bad it will make a humming or grinding noise that changes pitch or volume when you turn.

  • Just ordered the Chevy S10 Blazer Wheel Bearing and Hub Assembly for my 4wd...Great price I must say. Hopefully everything goes smoothly when I tackle this to install.

  • @robuss76 Thanks for checking us out. Have a great day!

  • @1aauto Item arrived 2 days after I purchased it. Finally have a day to install it but running into some problems. Seems the hub is rusted on and cant seem to pry it off. Used plenty of PB Blaster and still nothing. Tried your method in the video as well. Hopefully it comes loose soon. Maybe I should purchase a gear puller? Unfortunately my options are limited.I dont want to keep whacking it and possibly damage something.

  • @robuss76 If you use the method shown in the video it should come loose for you. Some of them can be a little more stubborn than others.

  • Would this be any different from doing a hub assembly on a 1998 gmc k 1500?

  • @thebubbaking17 The basics should be similar, you may have to do a few different things to remove it from your truck. We currently do not have a repair video for that particular application. Thank you for checking out our auto repair channel. Have a great day!

  • @thebubbaking17 its the same thing. only difference is you need a 3/8" allen wrench to remove the brake caliper

  • @Spennyman10 You're welcome, thank you for watching our auto repair video. We offer a great selection on parts for your Chevy S10 on our website 1aauto.com

  • Thank you so much for this post. I watched it several times before doing the install. I followed your instructions to the letter and it worked flawless. I just finished it about an hour and a half give or take. Took a few soda breaks. I did buy a 18mm with a swivel connected to it from NAPA prior to starting. It helped a lot getting to those hard to reach bearing bolts. Anyway thanks so much, real professional.

  • @mastermequon It depends on the type of driving you do, and also how many mile you put on the vehicle. We offer some great prices on the wheel bearing assemblies that fit your 2001 GMC S-15 Jimmy. Here's a link to them on our website.
