Do you prefer to knit with bamboo circular needles or metal? I am into hats and wanted to know what you think I should buy.

I much prefer to use bamboo, especially when it comes to double-pointed needles.

@elsteffo which size needles would be good for hats and i have been think about making fingerless gloves and i am new to knitting and i am not sure which would be a good size for them for a beginner

@sweetypie1988a For hats you have two options: you can either work the entire hat in the round on double-pointed needles, about 20cm in length, or you can use a 40cm long circular needle for the main part and then switch to double-pointed needles for the very top of the hat.
For small diameter projects I like to use short double-pointed needles, about 15cm in length.
