Chinese Bird Flower Painting. Flower Bird Landscapes. Sparrow Practice. Simple Midnight Meditations.
It's an odd thing but recently someone asked me how can doing this be such a calming thing to do considering the weight of the chasm that looms over you.
I simply said it occupies me until I am SO tired I simply lay down on the pillows and fal asleep without a pause.
They said how can doing that , then, in such a state of exhaustion allow you to learn and absorb the lesson.
I said because it is the same as midday and morning. The movements of the hand are the same.
They then asked meah yes, painting is a psychological curing thing, is it for you?
I laughed.... and said, Oh yes, cure. No more than chopping wood or building a house. Simply sitting down and "stopping" is the best psychological cure. Simply being aware of yourself and nothing more is very good for anyone. Painting?
Frankly, it's fun and people only do it because they enjoy it.
Force someone to paint when they dislike it and the results will be as angry as the tollerance.
28 days from now I will have learned what the next stage of my life is.
At that time I'll also be throwing a bucket full of charges at a very deserving target.
Amidst this I realise that I am an island again.
Sometimes, amidst this kind of environment you have to realise that the one person you can always rely on is yourself.
And in truth, you only get back form your efforts the harvest that came from their correct administration.
in other words, if you dont put your heart behind the things you do, they wont return anything to make your heart sing afterwards.
Painting is the same a slife.
You paint the canvas of your life with your acts and words.
On the canvas are other people but in essence, the only character really there is you.
The others are impressions.
It can be that on the outside the cavas, despite your best intentions, apears black and grey.
And sometimes the only real warmth of colour is on your inside.
While this is sometimes not enough to heat the soul, you need to realise that when the paints warm up again and your canvases contents match your surrounds once more, it has happened all the sooner because of the way your actions painted yourself on the inside.
