You have a lot of skill. Abstract because usually that term does usually mean non reprosentational. But none the less who cares about what it is called. I think that if you had mixed paints rather than use them from tube you might see a big difference. tints shades, hues plying with how colors interact -creats a better aesthetic. I am learning too and do paint abstract a lot taking my color knowledge from color field painters so that is my prejudice. Good Luck.

@MrSlaytard I've seen both. His web site has both original, acrylic and oil paintings for sale/auction. Of course, I haven't touched base with him in a while now so I really don't know what he is up to anymore. retirement I guess.
