Canon IPF605 Plotter, plots an A1 colour in 33 seconds
available from wydos.co.uk for under £995 + vat
Stands are optional £250 + vat
The plotter takes 6 cartridges , these are large 130ml , instant drying inks
great for photos and CAD
but not a dedicated graphics machine , for this I suggest the new IPF6300 - a fine machine
If you require an A0 machine look no further than the IPF 750

  • hello i am a architecture student... i m going to buy a plotter but i don't know witch one. so can you help me please! Between IPF605 and hp 510( canon costs 805€ and hp 1600)? I think canon will be a good choice. but is the maintenance more expensive then the hp?and Does canon works with mac?thanks;)

  • @suixxxo Hi there

The HP510 is old technology 10 years old + , they are very reliable and cheap to run BUT struggle with graphics and very slow, and suffer from clipping problems (missing edges etc),memory problems , not great for visuals, and a low dpi

The Canon is 5 times quicker and double the quality , instant drying inks

free networking built in, superfast graphics/photo processing , automatic paper loading...etc

but yes, they are more expensive to run.

    Hope that helps

  • @suixxxo forgot to mention ,Canon works fine with Mac OSX

check out the drivers sections of canon.co.uk or .com

  • Thanks for the video. What's this plotter like doing posters or large graphics? What is the quality like?

  • superb for graphics and posters

    but not lightfast.

It is a CAD/ Photo printer

  • @wydos1234 Thanks for your response. Do you have a video of that? Doesn't have to show the whole print, just want to see the quality really. I've only seen black and white prints

  • the quality is great

    2400 x 1200 especially on glossy paper

I have two boxed machines in stock

and I can't unbox and set one up for one print.

I have two machines out on 7 day trial. If one comes back I will do a full colour a1 and post the video
