I was in Italy when JP I was elected and died. I knew something was terribly wrong. In 1984 I read "In God's Name." There is absolutely no doubt of the corruption of the inner workings of the Vatican and their worldwide ramifications. This man is brilliant. David Yallop is or was a Roman Catholic so one can hardly accuse him of prejudice. He just tells the truth. So refreshing.

The claim that JP2 thought marital sex was sinful without procreation is completely spurious. You won't find it ANYWHERE in Love and Responsibility. Sex has a unitive and procreative aspect, but the procreative is not always in play (the woman/man can be infertile) and so you enjoy the unitive aspect then. Where in the world did Yallop get such a strange notion of Catholic sexual ethics?
