Watch Unfolding the Quilts in their bid to win Best Heritage Project in The National Lottery Awards 2011. The Quilt Museum and Gallery in York opened in 2008, displaying the Quilters' Guild of the British Isles' collection of more than 800 historic and contemporary quilts. The Unfolding the Quilts project received funding from the National Lottery to enable the museum to run an extensive volunteer programme which recruited and trained up to 80 volunteers.
