Awesome harvest :) Great videos, I've watched a bunch today, made work more tolerable, thanks. That was a katydid on the fence though, not a mantis. Big, leafy looking "grasshopper" type thing.
the way i dry herbs in my kitchen is by putting them sandwiched in the middle of furnace filters and then bungee them to that fan u r using already on high. it works great and fast
Yep, damp rid works too. I just use the silica gel because it's safe for pets, so I suppose it's save if it by some weird occurance touches whatever you're drying.
thats a great idea. I have used damp rid also, just make sure that it doesnt come into contact with the hops. also you need a big container for all the hop you have!
dont worry and have a home brew!
Are you coming to Denver for the great american beer festival this year?
Hey, I have a little bit of experience drying "stuff," and I just wanted to let you know that the screen set up is good, but the oxygen can actually damage the hop. There is an alternate inexpensive method that I typically use when drying "organic material". Try using a desicant. If you go to walmart, there is a kitty litter (can't remember name, but in a purple bag,) that's 100% silica gel. If you put that with the hops in a closed container, it will suck the moisture right out.
did you see the spider at 0.41
