Lois Lane while at Star Labs witnesses the activation of a device based on Phantom Zone tech except instead of the Zone's various dimensions, the device opens doorways to alternate realities. The subtle difference she notices when looking first outside the poles is the windows look as they should yet inside the poles the windows are cracked. As she points this out to Professor Hamilton and Jimmy Olsen, she gets caught in the crossover effect, one blinding flash later she is in a wrecked version of the same part of Star Labs. At first she doesn't connect that she crossed over though more things appear different, which is relative to her given that this isn't her reality.

It is instead a reality where Superman and Luthor partnered up to police a militarized Metropolis. This partnership was in part prompted by the death of this reality's Lois Lane. Lois watches this reality's Dan Turpin fight with dissidents that are in turn taken down by this reality's Superman. This reality's Jimmy Olsen is also a dissident and expresses disbelief at finding Lois 'alive'. He takes her into hiding after Superman finishes 'pacifying' the area.

Olsen and other dissidents hiding out in the dilapidated Daily Planet are captured by military police led by Commander Mercy Graves. As with every other alternate self of familiar personalities Lois meets they all think she's there Lois back from the dead. Luthor and Graves worry about Superman's reaction should he discover Lois 'alive'. She escapes them only to face Superman who initially mistakes her for a dissident yet there is a look of shock so he takes her away to treat her injuries.

As she learns what went 'wrong' in this reality, she can't believe how far he went or that he never told his Lois how he felt before she died. He, Lois, and the dissidents bypass Lex Corp Security to get to Luthor. Luthor uses Kryptonite against Superman though an interruption from the dissidents sidetracks his plan to kill Superman and insert himself as the 'savior' of Metropolis. He takes off aboard a personal aircraft, Lois and the dissidents surround Mercy, and Superman attempts to handle Luthor who again uses the Kryptonite.

Superman looses his grip on the aircraft several times damaging the engines in the process. The craft smashes into the dual statue of Luthor and Superman. After wards, Lois and Superman returns to the ruined Star Labs where they share one last intimate interlude as the crossover portal appears again with her Superman calling out to her. She asks this reality's Superman after her going away a second time change anything, he says it will for him, but not Metropolis so in a bittersweet moment he'll be working to restore his reputation here without Lois, his or otherwise.

Once back in her reality she asks Superman to join her for dinner and so begins a real start to their romance if only to prevent one avenue to her Superman going rogue. However there are other avenues like Legacy, A Better World, and the Cadmus arc that would test Superman more than ever yet at least Lois would be there along with others to remind why he needs them to be his pillar. If only to prevent those other lives where he had nearly become or did become someone worse than him.

i hear ya. glad you enjoy the video though. the catch with finding songs gets tricky with the copyright thing. anyway at least there's still some space left to be creative.
