  • well said progmagog

  • damn that nigga in the wrong key

  • @blakkeyz1970 I am a singer and a producer. It took me many years to realize the sound in my head could not be achieved by any mixing magic. It all comes from how you sing it. Sing it how you want it to sound. I know how that sounds but you will find it is the simple truth. Great music, great recordings and great mixes all begin on the artists side of the glass. First is the music and the performance, then the room, then the mic and placement. If it cant be solved there, no point in mixing.

  • The artist needs to learn to leave f ew db of headroom on his recorded tracks. In 24 bit recording there is no need to hit all the way to 0dbu. That results in a duller sound overall. This guy did a good job dealing with a poor recording, but that should not be a mixers job. He should be able to concentrate on making a good thing into a great thing. This vocal performance is not all bad, but its nasal in the verse and pitchy all over. Needs work. Remeber good performance is key to a great sound.

  • The way they recorded it did you no justice man lol... good ahit on fixing some of that mess... and if an artist likes their vocals above the mix thats all fine and dandy but they need to learn its not about what they like its about what makes the overall track sound better, and they way you had the vocals sitting in the mix made that distortion sound a lil better but made it sound more like a track.. "the artist is the patient, and the engineer is the doctor" the doctor always has the final say

  • Good god, that's a horrible song. I feel your pain. Good info about the summing at the master bus.

  • How much you charge to mix and master

  • SEND ME THE VOCALS,I'LL DO THE WERK! HOLLA!!!!!LOVE THE THE SONG.

  • YO ,YOU GOT TO TUNE THE VOCALS!
