  • thanks for the video but how can i get the andorid 4.0.4 ?i cant find the file to download

  • I installed it, been using it for a while, works great, no real problems

  • Again thanks for the head's up and instructions on how to install. After a few weeks of ICS 4.04 use, I've noticed an significant loss of battery life! I am not a heavy data user. Rarely use Utube or any videos, much less games. I have checked what apps are running daily and rarely more than minimum boot up apps running. I don't have GPS running either. I use Wireless when downloading apps but not much. Battery life is a problem. Otherwise really love ICS. What difference between MIUI 4

  • I just installed this and everything seams to be working fine and better than ginger bread. 4g, wifi, 3g, etc all work.

remember you have to root your nexus s 4g before you install this. When you root it will wipe everything from you phone, including apps, text contacts, etc.. recomend backing everything up.

  • @parm104 That there are SOME changes in 4.0.4 from 4.0.3 still doesn't make his video pointless. His goal was to demonstrate the individual leaked ICS ROM on this device in comparison to the stock 2.3

  • @osulls490 I never requested 4.0. to be broken down....It's 4.0.4 that I was looking to see broken down. I ultimately ended up updating it anyways which is the reason why I personally know the differences and the importance of discussing the changes that 4.0.4 brings. Because they are significant and reasons that would entice users to upgrade. You should honestly install 4.0.4 before you even make another comment so you know the difference rather than just assume you know about things...

  • @osulls490 Again, you've missed the point. It's 4.0.4...you guys obviously don't understand ICS or appreciate the significance of 4.0.4.. It's by far, the most advanced version of ICS yet and has the most features. HENCE, a review of a 4.0.4. rom should include the new updated features rather than the similarities in functions with an older ROM. I guess you don't know this because you haven't had 4.0.4 installed yet. Maybe you should try it before making comments so you'll realize the diff.

  • @parm104 If you own an ICS device why would you need 4.0 to be broken down into pieces? At this point I'm not even sure what you want, not a review of the basics of ICS, but rather the changes that it encompasses? What's the difference between talking of ICS and talking of the change it brings? And yes, a leaked, unofficial stock ROM that could have unintended bugs, quirks, and issues, the point being to identify any. He's not reviewing Android 4.0, rather this particular ROM on the Nexus S 4G.

  • @osulls490 Performance and usability of a STOCK rom? If you already own a device with ICS, then there is no way you would go into this "update" blindly. Hence, there is no point in this video. This is an UPDATE rom, not a fresh rom. Therefore, the emphasis should be on new updates and changes, rather than the basics of ICS. You're talking about "skipped steps" but have failed to realize that some people are using this ROM without rooting their phone, hence, for me, this is not a rooted ROM.
