I've been there and I didn't see no ghosts.
I did see the rocks though. The whole place is nothing but rocks. Rocks, rocks, rocks.
I think maybe it holds the record for most rocks on a battlefield.
There were more strategic spots, but the battle was fierce for possession of those rocks.
After the battle, of course, nobody wanted the rocks anymore. Nobody even wanted the little round hill. Everyone left, but the rocks remained. The rocks were victorious!!!

@MrBaloneyhead Spoken like a true smartass! I like you!

@MrBaloneyhead Ha! "Prance around the rocks"!

@DBHuntington - - - Clearly this photo shows 2 ghosts! NOT living persons. I know the person in the video that took this photo. He is a well respected and well educated member of this community. I've seen this photo and numerous others that also show clear apparitions at Gettysburg.

Nonsense. Clearly the photograph shows two living human beings.

gettysburg is haunted yes ...i believe ...but that is no ghost ; why???? ghosts dont cast shadows...the reason the "torso" doesnt cast a shadow because it's a rock....i have the same shot from my vacation there almost the same angle and theres a rock there...

@teegeetee hey sam i made an error didnt see your post as actual 8,000 deaths. yes i do believe you are correct in saying around 8,000 were killed & approx 51,000 casualties. i stand corrected. salute you for your correct comment. Lee's Lieutenant's written by Douglas S. Freeman (a very very good book) states: "the killed have been computed at 4,637, the wounded at 12,391, and the missing at 5,846, a total of 22,874- virtually the same as the Federal aggreate of 22,813."

@SAM871wkh dont kno where u got your info from but it is incorrect!
Can they at least get narrator on this video who doesn't sound like he is speaking while submerged underwater.
Or did he just eat a dry peanut butter sandwich with nothing to wash it down with before doing his narration?

What would those ghosts do with thier time if those rocks ever got removed for some reason? What if they showed up one morning to prance around on the rocks like in the picture, and a construction crew was there with bulldozers while dynamiteing the rocks, making way for a Walmart or condo's. Later,do they continue to prance around the Walmart checkout lanes "pretending" they are at Devils Den,or do they have to find a different untouched part of the battlefield to keep living in the past?
