Episode 6 is all about Fair Isle knitting using two hands.

In this episode (6.2), working on the purl row is shown.
My secret to neat fair isle is to carry the yarn (the stitch that finishes before the end of the row) to the end. This will make sure that the last stitch of the colour will stay nice a neat (rather than pulled to a funny shape).

Also make sure the tension is kept uniform by keeping the floats loose.
To prevent from tangling when unravelling the piece, keep one colour on top of the other at all times ;)

Happy Knitting!

  • This is an AWESOME video, thanks so much! I like the way you purl in two colors, especially how you do your continental purl stitch.
