Just because you THINK your state is the cat's meow doesn't make it so. Get some history behind you, eat a big Midwestern bronco burger steak sandwich and then get back to me. Wisconsin is a nonsense word. It doesn't make any sense. Might as well call your state Fiswocowens. Same thing. No meaning. The reality is this Wisconsin = West Kansas pronounced wrongly and interpreted as some holy grail of territorial meaning and integrity. What a bunch of Midwestern hams and country bumpkins!

I live in __, WI, where just about every native citizen here supports unions. We USED to have massive business coming through here with the auto industry. Kenosha was practically built on the American Motors plant here, as everyone worked there. In the 70-80s the plant workers found it necessary to form a union. @20012607 Maybe at 13 you haven't learned about the history of WI & its connection to Unions, nor the metaphorical WI which has been developed through the relationship between WI & unions. But when people talk about the assault on WI, in reference to the unions, & specifically how the recent moves are "attacks on WI" one of the things they are thinking of is the metaphorical WI which has been created through the relationship that WI has with unions.Get it? & have some respect for your teachers ;)

It's pathetic that these idiots only need what, like 75k for a recall of a county rep.? They should need like 2M for the governor, and that's still not the majority, or even half of the people in WI! Oh well, they might get their recalls just off of union and public workers' signatures, but those of us that are real middle class families and the real work force of WI will do what's right and just vote republicans back in lmao! Union supporters make up less than 10% of the population here.

Unions are useless in today's world, where workers are treated perfectly fine. They drive businesses out of states because no-one wants to deal with them. America is falling behind because unions make it so that 3 people have to do the job of 1, and those 3 take 2 days to do 1 hours' labor. Unions are greedy, rich stinking pigs; they charge around $100+ in union dues, and they never do anything for the people they represent.Private-sector workers have been getting along fine without any unions.
-
Public sector employees do not leech, ask for handouts or feed off of state tax dollars. They make sure your food is safe and sanitary, your elevators are in perfect working order, your bridges are in tact and your highways are acceptable. Everyone bitches about GOVERNMENT until they actually need something. We have agreed to bypass pay raises and pay a percentage of our own insurance. What more do you want? If you can do it better be my guest.

@linwooddeaton Unions guarantee worker rights, safety and stave off totalitarian big corporation bullshit like mandating 14 hr days at minimum wage. You must be a big corporate lacky to fall prey to that ignorant drivel. I make 20 thousand less than my private sector counterparts.....geez I should give back my insurance benefits too! Keep blathering that sad, old republican mantra....maybe you could start preaching trickle down economics while your at it. SHEEP!

SICK OF THE TEA PARTY MOVEMENT??
WANNA SUPPORT THE UNIONS??
Step 1 - Give me a thumbs up
Step 2 - Google, 'Organizing for America'
Step 3 - Click first site and proceed to donate $10
THE MIDDLE-CLASS HAS BEEN PUSHED ENOUGH!!
THE COUNTER-REVOLUTION IS ON!!
And it's sponsored by PEOPLE!! Not BUSINESSES!!
The American people are waking up to the fact that the unions only support union workers. As far as the AFL-CIO is concerned, if you're not union, you're a scab. The union mafia mentality has done enough damage to this country.

FACT: around 400k people are members/represented by unions in WI. There's around 5M people in WI. They're definitely the minority, I'd say 10% of the population opposing this bill. They're definitely drowning out the voices of MILLIONS of taxpayers and real middle class families in WI. ONCE AGAIN: UNIONS MAKE UP LESS THAN 10% OF THE MIDDLE CLASS, NOT TO MENTION WORK FORCE IN WI. Stop making this seem like an 'attack' on WI. 13 yrs old and I realize these obvious facts that my teacher's dont.
