Comenting Boylan said:

I would like to sincerely thank all on the panel who have trained extremely hard over the past number of weeks. The level of commitment has been exemplary stated Boylan at the announcement of the Irish team. Any number of individuals could have been selected as the standard was from the top drawer. The strong interest shown amongst players demonstrates the enthusiasm for the game and the importance players place on representing their country.

Congratulations to all players who have been chosen to represent Ireland, I wish them well and every success on the tour said Nickey Brennan, President of the GAA. I know that, with the backing of Seán and his selectors, Eoin Bomber Liston, Hugh Kenny and Anthony Tohill, they will give their utmost to bring the Cormac McAnallen Cup back to Ireland. We in Coca-Cola wish Seán Boylan and the team the very best of luck as they continue their preparations to play the Australians later this month. concluded Erica Roseingrave Coca-Cola Ireland.

The 2008 International Rules Series will take place on the 24th of October 2008 in the Subiaco Stadium in Perth and on the 31st of October 2008 in the MCG Melbourne.

  • Now Australia. You see what happens when the game is played right. Can't win without your Cheating Thugs can you. FUCK Australia!

  • i sincerely hope that this series has thought the Australian sporting public a few fundamental lessons and values about sport. Sport is about integrity, honesty, sportsmanship, humility and empathy in victory and graciousness in defeat. I've read posts here for the last 2 years talking about how we were pussies, how we couldn't fight shit. Today I can at last say we are real men with real values and better appreciation of the fundamentals of sport.

  • @scanlonroc Either post sensibly like a good little boy, or go back to the peanut gallery.

And I bet your probably still a virgin aren't you?

  • @xiNicks i guarantee you if the afl wasn't professional and the players trained as much as the irish players they would smash no one

  • @scanlonroc Mate this is a fucked up sport, no australian takes it seriously, try playing aussie footy and you will get fuckin smashed

  • everyone watching loves the fighting grow a pair ya weak pricks if ya wanna winge move to england

  • cavanagh should be playing afl. any team would take him.

  • What a game great skill from both sides

  • I like cavanagh and canty they both look like mad agents some other guys from the irish squad some of the littler blokes looked like they had real potential. I know the irish wont like it but i'd like to see alot of those guys given a shot at afl level.

  • skill always wins out in the end!!
