What is THIS?!
A new song to the tune of Lady Gaga's "Alejandro" that we will perform LIVE AT THE TRADER JOES IN BERKELEY ON SATURDAY NOVEMBER 20TH as part of the CIW Supermarket Week of Action, for more info visit the Facebook event page: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=168633159820996
WHY TRADER JOE'S?
SLAVERY IS NOT SUSTAINABLE. And no matter how delicious organic trail mix tastes, how great it is that Trader Joe's sells some incredibly affordable food that has a more discrete environmental footprint, they continue to refuse to put an end to modern-day slavery conditions in their tomato supply chain!
The Coalition of Immokalee Workers (http://www.ciw-online.org/)
in partnership with the Student Farmworker Alliance (http://www.sfalliance.org/) and Just Harvest USA (http://www.justharvestusa.org/) are continuing their Campaign for Fair Food, which has successfully brought 9 multi-billion dollar fast food and food service corporations - including McDonalds, Burger King and Subway - to their knees, hoping that the supermarket industry (including Trader Joe's) will also become partners in justice by signing an agreement with the CIW.
WANNA BE A PART OF THE SONG AND DANCE FLASHMOB SQUAD?
Did you like this video? Do you want to walk into Trader Joe's like you own the place and sing and do a choreographed dance performance to this song to help educate TJ's shoppers about slavery in the fields of Immokalee? This new and creative form of political protest is catching like wildfire because its a lot of fun, gets peoples attention, and did I mention its SUPER FUN???
Here is a youtube video of "Bad Hotel" which helped inspire this recent craze:

Come practice the song and dance on NOVEMBER 16TH, 7PM @3238 16TH STREET APT B, SAN FRANCISCO, CA (between Dolores and Guerrero in the Mission District). Call Liz if you have any questions: 650-771-4551. Bring instruments if you can! It will be more fun : )
You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Hippie. Go protest in front of Walmart, you know, the place where you got that hideous outfit, and haircut.
