  • ...and if nothing else a wonderful contemporary 'snapshot' of the motoring and general street-scene in 1962....wonderful...thanks for posting...

  • If nothing else indeed

  • THe car is not a Bentley S Continental, but a very rare Bentley R-type Continental, of which only two were built as a Drop Head Coupe by Park Ward in 1954 and 1955

  • Thanks for that. I've love Continental DHC's

  • Great stuff! Thanks

  • My pleasure

  • @guygamps What I often think is that early 60s colour movies, like those of the 50s, have sort of rich, 'fake' looking colour which many, mainly British LATE 60s movies doesn't have. In spite of the budget, the film Blow Up 1966, IF 1968 and 1967s Bedazzled has the realistic colour and clarity which makes it look as if you are actually THERE in the film, whereas even the James Bond films Thunderball 1965 and You Only Live Twice 67,still have a bit 'fakey' saturated colour in spite of high budget

  • check the body roll on the Jag..almost lifted the inside back wheel a few times..Frankie Howerd under the mnahole cover and Bernard Cribbins as the ambulance patient are both cameos in this sequence.

  • only problem with that is i live in canada, i dont think i can pick up bbc 2 lol. but thanks anyway

  • I've been trying to locate Trevor Reid the examiner, it say's he died in London in 1963 but that cant be right as I saw him often in Surbiton way after that date. He was exactly like that in real life.

  • @ThePotstillbill No. I just watched it and he didn't pass lol

  • @kevin39632 the film is on BBC 2 right now.... great stuff

  • Does anyone know if this movie is available on d.v.d ? i have tryed on amazon .com but nothing is coming up, love the old cars in this show especially the old bentley.

  • @M90EMC If I remember right, the terrified examiner failed him. But James Robertson Justice's character promised to step in and see he got his licence.

  • Did he pass his driving test?

  • Would like to see the full movie
