use you IFLOLS when you are 2nms behind the boat, Shift -b.

Can see you are using you FLIR image to help guide you in maybe. Better way is to use you NAV FLIR, n key will project nvis white/black hot on the HUD.

Yeah, but the IFOLS-Display is not realistic. So i tried to just look at the IFOLS on the carrier. But the problem is, you see it really just before touchdown ;)

No, i was looking sometimes on the FLIR image to see the pitch of the carrier. But most of the time i look at the AOA Indexer, Vertical Speed Indicator and at the carrier through the HUD.

And i really like to do night carrier landings without night vision.

Sure the IFLOLS is not well modeled into the game but non the less, it's a must have in the world of naval avaition. I noticed that you don't use the ILS needles. I have many a time over the 10 yrs playing this sim had to make a night landing with 1 engine, no HUD. I would like to use all sensors that I have available. A carrier landing at night with a pitching deck using the Mk2 eyeball, not surprising you boltered. Each to there own, just glad there are still Jane's F/A-18 pilots about. :D

The point is, there is just no better F/A-18 Simulation, so of course i still play this game. I think i will play this game also another 10 years, so that we just can say that this game is still played after 20 years of its release ;)

But i hope that the F/A-18 and F-14 will be modeled for DCS. ED is definitly on a good way with the DCS-Series :)

Yeah, i know, i've forgotten to unmute the stereo-mix while recording. So the audiotrack was just silent :(

I thought about replacing the audiotrack, but youtube doesn't have much choices for that, i don't know any of the available bands...

so any suggestions?

@harryhaslerx oh btw there's Seven-G F/A-18 simulator still being developed, it is the C Hornet model though, but with current state of the art things like JHMCS... search for it here in youtube to learn about it.
