  • Can it accept an 18650 battery?

  • niceeee... Waiting for ebay sale...

  • A senior CPF member or mod on there indicated that based on his experience a smooth reflector would give it a sickly green tint.

Good review, very informative. I'm waiting on the new Defender ;-D

  • I'm debating on getting the Sur Fury or the Surefire M3lt-S

  • Nice light

  • I...need....one, lol. I've had a C2 Centurion (120 lumens 1.5 hr, and E2 Executive 60 lumens 1.2 hrs) for a few years, and have loved them. Today just bought an X300 for $192.50, and was surprised that it was reduced in price...so I did some researching, found all the news on the new lights. :D

  • You mentioned that the most powerful light the Surefire did until recently was rated at 200 lumens. Unless you're talking 2 x CR123A lights, the brightest handheld light Surefire does at the moment is the M6lt Guardian at 900 lumens.

  • @TheAcenightcreeper is the $120 for the Fury or the Ultrafire? Because the Ultrafire you can get from Dealextreme for about $74. The 900 lumens it has is "Manufacturer rated", which means they state the theretical output of the emitter, as opposed to ANSI lumens, or the underrated "Surefire lumens". It's really about 600 lumens. It's also about double the size of the Fury, so you're less likely to carry the thing. Add Surefire quality to the mix and I'd take the Fury any day.

  • ultrafire MCU wf-1200l ssc 3 mode>surefire fury, 3 modes, 120 dollars. Over double the lumens, and 3 mode function, hi, lo and strobe. 2 18650 protected batteries, a sweet setup in my opinion, but i would never say this surefire fury is not a quality piece of equipment either.

  • You always have the best gear - awesome.
