They're not accusing the people that work at Marshalls, they're saying the practices they have are detrimental to the ferrets. They usually neuter/spay the ferrets before 1 year of age, which has been proven to cause insulinoma or adrenal disease later in life. They did say it rather rudely though.

  • very cute! Looks like he lived a very happy life with you and his ferret friends! Have a happy Christmas!

  • Uhhh that's soo adorable.

  • I got my ferret from marshalls she is happy and healthy and I think they do a good job raising and caring for there ferrets

  • Yeah, my ferret was from Marshall Farms too. He lived for seven years but from the time i first got him, he had ECE, and insulinoma. He was way too calm too, for a normal supposedly "healthy" ferret. He later ended up with adrenal gland disease. The only reason he lived as long as he did was I did my research on ferrets before owning one, and I had the money to get him proper vet care. If I can avoid it, my next ferret will not be from Marshall Farms.

  • yea..marshal farms doesnt treat their ferrets very well. they get sick easily...good thing i didnt get mine from there... :(

  • Hmm.... No they are NOT! marshall farms ferrets and beagles are bred and raised in small wire bottom cages, they are "raised in a laboratory conditions" most to be sold for scientific crewel test's with the best looking ferrets to be sold as pets. Then they are thrown in a box and put on a plane and shipped where ever. And BTW all Marshall Farms Products are SHIT! the marshall ferret food is crap the box would be better for the fuzzies than that shit called premium ferret food.

  • skinnyg5, is there any info out there on marshall farms breeds and treats their ferrets? im interested.

  • God to you accuse everyone at working at marshall's without even knowing anything about them or even viewing anything of their's... you just show everyone that nothing you say is credible and probably based on random spur of the moment assumptions.

  • That sucks! I just got a Marshall Farms ferret at Petco, he is 2 months old "Neutered, Descented, Tempered ect. ect." he's a little asshole but I love em', his whole cage is lined with 4 litter boxes but he rather take a dump next to the litter box rather then crawl into it, I need to buy stock in Bounty Paper towels for this one. He's got a huge Midwest Ferret Nation 142 all to himself with about $300 worth of Toys/Hammocks/Couches/Krackle Sacks in it and a 8 pannel playpen filled with toys!
