A song and music video to remember all states affected by the 2005 Hurricane Katrina tragedy, From the documentary film entitled: NEW ORLEANS, WE WON'T FORGET ABOUT YOU

The beautiful thing about the film and this music video is that months after Katrina struck, strangers from all walks of life who just wanted to help, volunteered their time, energy, money, footage and resources to complete both projects, and they asked for nothing back in return.

The 2005 Katrina tragedy had an affect on many people who were not even connected to New Orleans or its neighboring states who were also affected. Those images we all saw on T.V. of death, disparity, helplessness and loss of hope, will resonate in our minds for many many years to come. From the pain, anguish and countless stories of loss, I was inspired to write and produce my documentary film on Hurricane Katrina, and the song "Home" for its soundtrack. And while along this spiritual path and journey, I had to put myself in the mind of a man who at one time in his life had everything, good friends, a loving wife, a family, a job, a car and a home. But then one day he suddenly lost everything!. The pain and anger of trying to cope with his present reality, and his yearning to return to the place he called home which no longer exists, drives this man to reminisce on the way things use to be, the good times before Katrina came with her wake of destruction.

This tragedy of catastrophic scale reminded me of the Hurricane Katrina Tragedy in the gulf region in 2005. Then too did I reach out my hand to help lend a hand by producing a Documentary film entitled: NEW ORLEANS, WE WONT FORGET ABOUT YOU and a relief song and music video entitled: HOME, every downloaded sale was donated to Katrina Relief Organizations to help in the rebuilding effort, and I am now doing the same again to help aid in the relief efforts for Japan and I am asking for your support.

this is powerful video and song, Richard you really gave us an real look into lives of these hurricane victims. These are people just like us, who lives were devasted because of this storm who want their lives back.

This was so touching...I am a Katrina victim...soooo fricking touching. the words to your song are sooo real. All I have now is memories of new orleans and the good times I had with my family and friends...New Orleans was more than just a party city...it was and is family oriented...I miss the southern hospitality that I received and gave ALL day erryday...My home is gone...But thank God, that He was watching over me and my family otherwise me and my family would have died there.
