After watching so many railfan videos, its time to contribute my first...

CN 2608 and 2412 lead a mixed frieght train west through the Dundonald Ave crossing in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. I seen my first articulated autorack near the end of this train.

  • no horn

  • yeah our city has a horn ban at all signaled crossings :(

  • ok, at 1:10 into this video, what kind of freight cars are those? and what are they used for?

  • It is a centrebeam car and is mainly used to haul wood. Usually full hauling BC lumber to our eastern neighbors, but usually empty on the backhaul like this. Look at my Lorne Ave June 07 video and look at the last car - you will see one half loaded.

  • What are those cars called ?

  • No through trains trade off in Saskatoon. Only 114/115 and 303/450 trade off because they go North/South. Its probably slowing to do work in the yard.

  • DUNDONALD where is that exactly

  • Hmmm thats weird

  • ok cool

    thnxs

  • Looks to be slowing down for a crew change. I'm guessing this is the 347.
