This is not suprising. Whitney is a former supermodel. Not only did she open doors for African American women in music, with heavy rotation on mainstream MTV, but she also was the first African American to appear on the cover of Seventeen magazine. She is truly a legend on multiple fronts. She should be considered a national treasure, especially in the black and or African American community. As for Mariah, Whitney always looked and sang better than her, and still does.

Secretly, Yes Whitney Houston is or was an attractive woman, but as for Mariah, we all know Mariah had the silhouette to DIE for back in the day & STILL does, and her young looks were beyond stunning... soooooooo.... :S

I really hated the MLIYL stuff. It was good but it is an era of Whitney's career which I wish she never did. It just seemed so tacky to me, as before then, she would be dressed up lovely and singing amazing, then on MLIYL she had these foul lyrics and outfits.

I also disagree with the view that Mariah is more beautiful than Whitney. I've never been a fan of Mariah's fat cheeks. She looks quiet vile - especially with her council estate chic hair styles (that hideous over straightened hair)

@watchthesetens Mariah Carey is far too overrated. I like her, but I disagree with people who claim she's equal or better to Whitney. Whitney is a vocal powerhouse and her voice really does give you goosebumps when she sings... but when Mariah sings... It's just an average R&B style voice with a nice whistle. This is why I disagree with judging a singer based on their octaves/range or what ever as Mariah has lots of it (5 Octaves in her prime I believe, maybe 7), but doesn't have much to show...
