Ever get that feeling like something EPIC is about to happen? That's what this was.
I was going through some footage and this one came up. If you've seen the Big Boat Series Music video, there is a short clip of this in there to start off the WIPE OUT section. Here is the entire clip showing it from start to finish, including when they RUN AGROUND.

it almost looked as though their daggerboard was hung up there for a moment, I would have cranked the engine and slammed it in reverse sooner, also dropped the main sheet sooner, then again I am a rookie sailor, but I'll tell ya, I am not going to use a spinnaker sail until I get very experienced, Ive seen a lot of heels and roll overs due to the wind shifting and flipping the boat over.

I wonder if a double-pole jibe would have kept that chute under control....
It looks like an old Jboat or similar. They weren't particularly seaworthy...

hmm so what should they have done to make a more controlled jibe? Bring the sheet in more to keep the chute from pulling the rig down? I looks like they pulled the pole and said "uhh shit what should we do now?"

@GeorgieWorgiey Yeah, it looked like they weren't able to keep the boat dead down wind enough to keep the kite from starting a downward spiral swing. An over correction was a knee jerk reaction when maybe some better placed crew weight (spread out on both sides of the boat) may have helped with the balance. Also, they could have trimmed in the main to depower first.
