A day off from Advanced Motorcycle Training

Well it was a day off really, but I couldn't stop talking to my mate who was filming me. We had bike to bike intercoms. He is recording my comms on his system.

We are on the way from Broxton towards Wrexham, just unside the Welsh border. It is a route I take when I go to Ruthin.

Hi Nigel - I completed a Bikesafe weekend at Gaydon, Warks. Demonstrated to the ROSPA assessor all the good points you have taught on the site - a good ride.

What a great weekend - 12 hours in and around the Cotswolds - that's what I call living...

I was totally drained in Normandy....... So many good roads and no traffic

At about 2.30, you overtook on a shaded area... I always thought that was not on & was worth 3 points !! Am I right ?

Well spotted. The shaded area had no solid white line bordering it, broken line, so you can enter it. I know they are there to hel traffic flow when turning, but in this case we had passed the turn, so safe to go. Hope that clears it up for you

You've got a great job - riding a bike aall day. Poor idiots like me have to spend 8 hours a day in an office!! You have to go to university to be able to do this!! Doh!!!

I have an assessed ride with IAM in two weeks, then I'll decide on IAM or ROSPA, do you have any personal recommendations?

I like it - I like it - a good progressive ride. Have you thought about doing your advanced riding test?? LOL ;)

Is it me or do the shoulder looks look a bit shallow? I'm only a novice myself but I was always taught to drop the shoulder and look down at the road/curb. Are these riders lazy on the lifesavers or just too experienced to know what is going on everywhere?
