If you want to start out your big Ultima VII adventure with nice equipment but without cheating, try to find this hidden chest SW of Trinsic. The video includes a mapshot and coordinates (which are 128S 2W). Give that chest a good bash! (or just grab the key - see comments)

Was the frame rate this jerky in the game or is it from recording?

If I remember correctly it ran like that on my 386 or maybe 486 back then. Its much smoother in Exult though but this was recorded with Dosbox.

hm, after playing U7 for several weeks I had all the runes in my mind and didn't have to look them up in the manual. I can't remember most of them now, but knew them back then.
