  • The chicken noodle rice porridge is posted on my Thai & Lao food web site. You will see how to make fresh rice noodle.

  • Im still waiting to watch the khao pek with fresh noodle. when will you post?

  • Please be patient as I produce these videos on my free time. You can help me out by going to my web site and place a donation and I'll send you my Thai Lao recipe book.

  • Hello Larprom,

I was just wondering .Have you post a recipt how to make khao piek with fresh noodles (made from scratch),yet? I always want to know how to make that.Haven't had it since i moved here to NY.Please post.Thank you so much,

  • Khao piek with fresh noodle is on my list of recipes yet to be posted. Stay tuned.

  • Hmm, is this the simplified version of khao piek? I make it using chicken broth, once the chicken is cooked cut into shreds. Then add uncooked jasmine rice into the broth to let it cook. Let it simmer and serve hot and then add the shredded chicken, garlic.etc..

  • Yes, this is the simplified version of khao piek which is traditionally served for breakfast. When I cook with chicken I usually make khao piek with fresh noodles (made from scratch) which I'll post the recipe soon.

  • For those of us who are not aquainted the real secret is "Jasmine rice". Plain old "Uncle Bens" will not do. Also, I found, a bit of cilantro on top when serving is a nice touch.

  • Sawadee ka."Di chan chowp ahan aroi mak kong kun ka."

Please forgive the spelling. But I hope you "kow jai ka"

    What a great channel.Thank you.

  • i luv those i like my moms tho

  • it's better to use fresh made rice, it will already be fluffy and not in clumps, you won't need to break it down so it will have that "creamy texture" you want.

  • I have also found that putting the rice in a blender before hand to "break it down" a little helps with the creamy texture.

  • i cook it differently, i boil the water first then put ginger and chicken . then put in the rice .

  • I love khao piek. but we cook it in another way. but theres alot of methond in making it.

  • Kow Pieak? damn u look like one of my aunties!

  • lol at 0:18 u can see a kid

  • hmmm I think your gf lied to you. Viet is not similar to Viet at all, of all the languages in SE Asia Viet is the most different from Thai.
