Thanks so much for posting this! I saw the play at the National (London) in the 80s with Maria Friedman, and always wished there was a recording. I loved the music. I have the sheet music, but while I can read it, I can't sing, so I'm thrilled to find this. She's brilliant! I'm off to listen to more of her stuff now.

Does anyone know, where I can find a version of the song Unter deinen weissen Sternen in Yiddish? I had a recording of one which I listened to a lot when I was a younger. I just think the version in German is not as expressive and suitable. What's more, the translation that I found here on youtube is just not that good.
