Manisha Shahane - Bridging Hemispheres

If you want Manisha in 10 minutes - this is it! This begins with a photo collage against a backdrop of clips from the upcoming album, followed by an excerpt from her live performance with her band at the Girls Gone World concert at Santa Monica's Temple Bar. Some of the shots are from performances in various cities, including with her father in Seattle and with the great Ely Magen and Erez Monk in Israel, along with a shot backstage with the Cultural Affairs Officer from the Indian Embassy and his wife who attended the Tel Aviv show. Other shots are from studio recording sessions, including a special session with the little kids whose voices you'll hear on one of the tracks. You'll also see various Boston-based and LA-based musicians with whom she works. The live performance section includes some improvisational vocals, a live performance of "Shyam Rao-chi Mulgee," and ends with an excerpt from the song, "Still", co-written by Manisha and her husband Gal Bitan who is also featured in the clip.
