A homemade capacitor and a homemade flyback driver. I proud to show my latest project of highvoltage fun. I have plasma without and plasma with the capacitor. WOW it rocks. I canceled out the audio for those of u that have small speakers. I recomend you do not attempt this at home and if you do its at your own risk. Look for more videos in da near future.
CAN YOU EXPLAIN THE JAR? IS IT WRAPPED ON THE OUTSIDE WITH ALUMINUM FOIL THEN INSULATED WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE FILLED WITH SALT WATER WITH A ROD FROM BOTTOM OF JAR TO TOP OF LID? AND YOU HOOK HV OUT TO ROD? I MADE ONE WITH GLASS TUBE BUT INSERTED FOIL INSIDE AND PLACED COIL HOOKED TO RETURN ON OUTSIDE AND HV OUT TO OTHER END OF TUBE THEN BROUGHT COIL END CLOSE TO IT AND GOT BRIGHT LOUD LONG ARCS.

Cool! I wonder how many joules this thing can store. Of course, now that the sound cut out, I'm going off to fix myself a heaping plate of spaghetti with sausage & chicken sauce.

at 1:15 it's like it fried the mic and killed the audio

when making the capacitor, do you need to have a air hole in the jar for any gasses or pressure?

Nice capacitor, I have used dual ignition coils with those and I have made the whole capacitor arc over (one electrode to the foil) and it was LOUDDDDD!!!

You don't do a good job teaching.
