Why there must be a "new sucks, old rules" shit. It's the same band moving on, evolving within time, they're playing not for you, but for themselves. It might have changed, but we all change. I still like it, and learn lots from them. C'mon, don't be childish. We're all the same in the end.

Lunar through Colony = Old In Flames

Clayman through Clarity = Best In Flames

Sense and Playground = New In Flames

People fail to realize that this band has 3 very different eras and they are all excellent, including Playground. They've been around for 18 years people, obviously they sound different now.

@maddafakker1 All the real members are in the band (except Jesper) you cant count people like Peter Iwers Brother who played guitar on lunar strain and left the band after that album.

I love the new dimmu borgir and the new machine head the later stuff the beatles did(lonely hearts) and plenty of other bands that have changed their sounds.But inflames have became very superficial.With lyrics like''I feel like shit,but at least i feel something''

Take a look at their old songs:only for the weak,moonshield ,artifacts of the black rain,crawl through knives,jester race,dead eternity,clayman,man made god, now thats music! such rich meaning.And it will live on forever.This won't.

Oh man, this is just absolutely terrible. They should have called it quits 2 or 3 albums ago. He has completely lost his voice

I don't know about that. I'm still a fan of some of their newer melodies but in my opinion Anders is the weakest part of this band. His hybrid of clean/screechy vocals really kill it for me. I feel like they just exist and don't add any type of energy to their songs. To each their own
