Here is a demonstration of my specialist project made at Bournemouth University. It is a crowd simulation script made in python, which can simulate any number of ants walking on a surface, avoiding each other and any collision objects. The ants are rigged with an inverse kinematic system, and their leg and body movements are generated depending on where they walk. When running the script, the user can choose different options like chaos (randomizes their walking behavior), attraction point (a point which attracts the ants. This point can also be animated) and more.
The un-rigged ant model is downloaded from http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-model-formica-rufa-ant/388875
