TPS ECU Signal Circuit (CC. Original Closed Caption Available)

NOTE: This special Video-Course Sub-Series is designed to gain knowledge of the effects a circuit has on the rest of the ECU and how it reacts to such INPUT-Values.

The Throttle Position Sensor ECM Signal - TPS is used by the E C M to denote throttle opening and rate of change. The E C M calculates transmission shifting and acceleration injector pulse width from the TPS.

Seen here to the far right is the TPS sensor. To the top are the two transmission shift solenoids. In this simplified electronic diagram, the TPS value is input to the E C M at the triangle op amp plus side, where it is then passed along to the digital processor inputs. The E C M then works up an injector pulse and shift solenoid trigger arrangement from TPS value. The E C M also uses the......
