TPS ECU Signal Circuit (CC. Original Closed Caption Available)

The Throttle Position Sensor ECM Signal - TPS is used by the E C M to denote throttle opening and rate of change. The E C M calculates transmission shifting and acceleration injector pulse width from the TPS.
Seen here to the far right is the TPS sensor. To the top are the two transmission shift solenoids. In this simplified electronic diagram, the TPS value is input to the E C M at the triangle op amp plus side, where it is then passed along to the digital processor inputs.
