The Panther Chameleon or Furcifer pardalis is endemic to the warm and humid coastal lowlands and islands and coastal regions of northern, northwestern, northeastern, and eastern Madagascar. It has also been introduced to Reunion Island. One of the most common species on Madagascar and is highly sexually dimorphic. The females are pale orange and are smaller then the males. Gravid females can be completely vibrant orange with dark patches. The larger mature males can reach total body lengths up to 21 inches.
