I have a good question... what if I really don't know who I am? like... I have worked in quite a few places and I am almost always told that I am one of the hardest workers from the superiors and managers. People always seem to love my attitude at the work place and etc... but in Interviews I really don't know how to convey this enthusiasm properly or give an impression that this is who I am even though I am told that this is who I am all the time.

@XanALaOM00 - simple--use quotes from others. If others say that you are one of the hardest workers, simply give them to quote. Don't just say you are a hard worker, let them know who said it and also note that the person is one of your references. Then back it up with examples (either yours or others).

Mr. Krueger, please give me advice-

I am a hard worker, loyal and never miss work. As you stated in your video that "If you can not penetrate the interview veneer. You will not hire." Mr. Krueger that is all I have. If I let down my guard. You will know instantly that I hate myself and I really don't have confidence in my self.

I can not let the employer know because I desperately need that job (whatever it may be).

Without attempting to psychoanalyze your statement, my intent as an interviewer is to find out who you really are as a potential employee. I am not trying to dig into the deep, dark recesses of your personal physche and whether you like yourself (unless this is reflected as having an impact on your performance as a potential employee).

That said, you will need to work on building your confidence, since that will be reflected in how you come across in the interview. You can build your confidence by practice interviewing with someone who is supportive of you.

Thank you for the feed back and the kind words. I am happy to find out they/you are trying not to find out the true me. You are just seeing the top couple of layers (those layers can be altered to what the employer wants). That gives great me relief. Thank you.
