  • As it says in the description, it was a Qantas flight bound for Auckland :)

  • How can you get a bumpy takeoff?

  • @thechenga

    747-400

  • @gymnasthere121

I went spotting at melbourne recently and was disapointed, I was at 34 and they were using 27 for the heavies. Except the A380 landed 34.

that is a 747. It has winglets. The only aircraft with that style of winglet Are the A330, A340 and 747. And Qantas dont have A340. And you can see an outboard engine so that also rules out an A330. Its a Boeing 747-400

  • @engeladam409 a 747 because you can see the engine 1 (of 4) on the outer part of the left wing

  • @finalfantasygirl123 Yes that is a 747-400 that is the the #1 engine you can see, the #2 is inboard and cannot be seen from that seat position.

  • i've been in a plane when it dips like that the feelin is strange. and thats no where near a 747 i only see one engine is there was 2 you would see too. thatd deff not a 747. but great vid

  • Hey, is the runway 16L?

  • Let the captain answer this question. Yes it's a 747-400 series aircraft. A very distinctive wing designed by Boeing. I fly the B777-200ER for BA and used to however, fly the B747-400

  • I have spent a heap of time plane spotting at Melbourne Airport and 747's do take off on the 27. I have seen the A380 take off the 27 once also. Although the preferred runway is the 16/34. I have even seen the Qantas A380 take off the 16 and rotate by the time it passes the 27 crossing (maybe at taxiway echo). That is an amazing sight to see.
