Self-images are like movies in peoples minds. They are acts well rehearsed that give the mind a sense of self a self identity. I will focus on the tyrant and coward identity.
Tyrants and cowards are emotionally underdeveloped. Amazing as it may seem these people dont recognize their behavior as immature and even if they do they accept it. These people are addicted to their familiar and predictable ways; they take it for granted that that is how it is for them, they dont believe they can be any other way.
Lets see if you can recognize some of these attitudes: Are you afraid of your boss? Other co-workers? Do you secretly hate them? Are you nervous and desperately hope no one talks to you in meetings? Do you dread doing presentations and hope no one will challenge you? Are you scared or terrified to disagree with others especially your superiors? Are you afraid of conflict and confrontation? Are you nice to everyone at the office even when they are nasty to you? Are you afraid to stand up for yourself? If you experience any of these you have the mentality of a coward.
Both cowards and tyrants are the product of a weak and powerless self image. Such a self image makes one feel under constant stress and unable to relax because one is afraid and vulnerable to attacks. Cowards act as if they are afraid and tyrants act as if they are angry. A tyrant uses anger to cover their insecurity and lack of true power.
