Complete disappointment. It's a blasphemy to call it Monty Python.

Eric Idle, a member of the Monty Python team, wrote the musical's book and lyrics. The musical opened on Broadway 17 March 2005.
This is a play adapted for the stage by one of the original Monty Python guys, for production in the U.S.A. The Broadway tour group is an extension of that, so, not “Americans butchering British humor again.” This is a Brit bringing his humor to an American collaboration, which he happily did, wherein many of the roles were supposed to be played by Americans.
