The long abandoned Jaral Ranger Cabin in the Sandia Mountain foothills of northeast Albuquerque New Mexico. When I first moved to Albuquerque back in the 1980's I noticed this abandoned cabin on the very first hike I took to this area. I was always intrigued by it. Wondering who had built it.

After some minor research I always assumed it was built back in the late 1930's by the CCC(Civilian Conservation Corp). They built the nearby La Cueva Picnic Ground and structures in the same era. If anyone knows differently please let me know.

The structures coordinates:
N 35° 12.025' W 106° 28.995'
