This is often regarded as the first Tai Chi instructional tape ever released to the west. Lee Yingarn primarily learned his taichi from the Dong (Tung) family. His iron Palm methods (shown also in the video) come from the shaolin system of Gu Ruzhang.

  • you idiot it's for demonstrating to the viewer. not a ufc title match. lol

  • wuteva styles when they show u a counter dey do it slow NO SHIT its a demostration...and yes in a real fight you'll never remember much and there will be no time to think when u get sucker punched thats why in every style u work on self defense, two man drills, forms sparring or whateva to turn your "techniques" into a reaction, do it long enough it becomes muscle memory. so when there attacked instead of flinching they trained there reaction into a technique. im sure every1 here agrees with me.

  • I salut you, ignorants of MMA and japanese martial arts along with even hard style kung fu users for ur ignorance has no limit, tai chi is like raising an army of gods in secrecy

  • and the best thing in it, it has moves that only ppl with true perception and skill along with intelegence understands and makes only the worthy able to use in perfection and effectiveness

  • best demo on earth, tai chi is the one with the universe since it's birth

  • looks effective

  • The person demonstrating with Master Lee is my master Gong Chau. I learned the Lee Modified style from Master Gong in 1979 at Western District Park. There was also a German Student, Thomas that learned together with me. It's wonderful to see the video after all these years. Does anyone no where Master Gong is now? There were a lot of many student learning from the park then...great memories...Barry Hong from Vancouver
