I was rewatching the scenes of Godric and Eric, the relationship I got from Godric and Eric was love. Not a sexual one, but more of a level of respect that became love. When Godric made Eric into a vampire, Godric promised Eric that he will be a father, a brother, and a child to Eric. He did all that. As a girl that support gay rights, I would love to think that they did have a sexual relationship, but I don't think they ever crossed that line mostly bcuz Eric needed family more than sex.

@moonlightangel90 right i know this to be true what you are saying but i did this mostly because i liked the idea of it i always like to push my self and cross the line give people what they want to see before they ask for it and they will say its out of place but what you won't kind is people asking for it like there is none so i made one like this first because some one ask me to and personally i think there love was pass the touching fazz

@TwilighWhore Yea i know, I really like this video. It's just when some1 mentioned they could have gone to that line, I just don't think they ever did. It's not cuz I think it's wrong, I just think that Eric lost his family, and when he was just about to die, Godric saved his life, offering Eric what he really needed, a family. Of course Eric is going to agree with it, so when Godric died, it was like Eric losing his family all over again. There's just too much respect in their relationship.

@Saralv will my idea of it is that its more like becoming your own family and in that family what ever rules apply so it can be a good friend or brother of even a lover i think what ever comes out of it starts with the maker if to him you are his son that is what you are or if to him you are his lover that is what you i guess and then think you spend hundreds of years with one person you are bond to feel something more then friendship

I saw the gay angle right away but if you put the two together your heart brakes because you know that in this video Eric feels as though Godric does not love him enough to stay, when my dad tried to do what Godric did, it feels like betrayel but Eric also felt it as a lover being struck in the heart saying there love wasn't strong enough to stay for the end. My friend tried the same thing it's like having family and a lover taken away at the exact same moment. Painful!

In the books Eric was made a vampire by a gay vampire who forced him into a sexual relationship. His maker was a different person in the books--not Godric. TB took the character of Godric from Book 2 and re-invented him as Eric's maker for the show. We don't really know if their relationship was ever sexual just as we don't really know if Eric's relationship with Pam on the SHOW was ever sexual. TB is keeping these relationships ambiguous...probably on purpose.
