A real battle of Chaotix vs. Dark would not have seemed entertaining enough, I guess. So they did a 2 player score battle in Panel de Pon. Nintendo could have made a team battle in four player mode.

Why did you do all the story matches in 4-player mode if the first two were only for two players?

For some reason, you can't do CPU matches in 2-player mode.
At least, that's what I heard.
