Construction stopped once the owners learned that no banks will lend to any unconventional projects during the struggling economic climate. Eric is diligently researching alternative investment options by organizing a Common Good Bank division in Gunnison. With community pressure on our banks to support these pioneering projects, Gunnison may be able to meet the intergovernmental Energy Action Plan goals and transition to a post-carbon economy sustaining life in their cold climate. - created at http://animoto.com

  • How's it going with the Earthship?

  • @Nichen May finally be getting a construction loan through our local credit union and hope to start back up after I get out of my school counseling work at the end of this month. Keep your fingers crossed!

  • Good luck to you! Have you considered creative ways to get free stuff like trees from your property, free bottles, rammed earth/straw tire walls free from junkyard, kind farmer, dirt stucco, windows leftover from renos etc?? You can reduce your costs a pile by getting unique in your approach....just my 2 cents towards your noble cause :)
