In many ways guitar players have influenced my style as much or more than harmonica players, and here I explore my latest interest, the attempt to achieve some of the elegance and smoothness of swing jazz fretmaster Django Reinhardt. The point is not to sound like him--I cannot replicate what he does on the strings, obviously, because he is a genius beyond my range--but rather to learn something from his execution. I found this bitchin jam track titled "Gypsy Jazz", and it gives me a chance to try new cadences for familiar riffs. Hope you enjoy this, and COMMENTS ARE WELCOME!
