This tutorial shows you how to create circuits in Proteus Isis, simulate them and then create PCB with Proteus.

Proteus is software for microprocessor simulation, schematic capture, and printed circuit board (PCB) design. It is developed by Labcenter Electronics.
The Proteus Design Suite inludes:
* ISIS - A schematic capture tool with the possibility to simulate programmable ICs like Microchip PIC, Atmel AVR (ATmega8, ATmega32, or ATtiny2313) etc.
*ARES - for PCB layouts.

The URL for Proteus is http://www.labcenter.co.uk/

Unfortunately, there are few / no good tutorials for Proteus out there, and therefore I took the trouble of making one myself. The tutorial has 3 parts. First part demonstrates Drawing circuits in Proteus Isis. Second part shows how to simulate circuits in Proteus ISIS, and how to export to ARES for making PCB layout. The third video shows Routing and how to print masks for PCB making. To learn more about PCB making visit: http://www.sajidmc.net/en/2009/02/creating-a-pcb-the-toru-bhai-style/

In this tutorial uses the 555 timer circuit taken from http://www.uoguelph.ca/~antoon/gadgets/555/555.html

(Update: Vanroon Retired from ugalph, so the new address of the 555 timer tutorial is:

http://www.sentex.ca/~mec1995/gadgets/555/555.html)

  • i guys how could i print in negative mode using ares 7? please i sombody know it let me know thanks

  • @luislatelo see the third part of the tutorial

  • did u mean the connector is the extra power we supply it to the circuit?

or can u explain more about the power connector?

  • @laici14 I just meant that connector is a point where you can connect two extra wires from outside, into the PCB. It can be an external battery, or filtered DC supply.

  • How can i navigate? I have a laptop and don't have mouse... only mouse-pad...

  • @juncraul I also use a laptop. Use the vertical scrollbars of the mouse pad

  • I use battery and GP2D120. But both of them don't have PCB layout. Can you suggest any solution to them? Thank you

  • why i can't place the component? any solution pls

  • @asad36414 Hey there, dunno if you sorted this by now, but I'd seen your comment while trying to figure it out myself! Worked it out by looking at some of the examples and thought I'd leave the information here for anyone else searching it out. Use the Interactive Potentiometer from the library. It's named POT-LIN, and has a + and - to the left of the symbol when you use it in the design area :-)

  • Good tutorial, thank you :)

  • very helping tutorials

  • Thank you sir. you really helps!

  • oie nesesito un programa para simular el movimiento de dos motores bipolares con un CI ATMEGA328, cuanto me cobras por uno, mandame un msj y ns ponemos de acuerdo: knocked96 hotmail

  • hello..i want to use gh-312 gas sensor and 8x2 lcd..but i can't find those in my library..please help me
