Yorkshire's Mr Bonsai

As a child Louis Hawksby started growing miniature trees. Many years later he heard about Japanese Bonsai trees and in 2005 he decided to embark on a trip to Japan to see them. This interview was not intended for broadcast (that's why the interview sound is so poor) - it was filmed as research material so we could pitch for a television series. Had the series been commissioned, Louis would have made the trip with our camera crew, but we couldn't find any takers. A pity, I think, because it would have made a great film. Perhaps there's a channel out there who'd still like to pick up the option!
