@InternetAesHole Feng addresses this in his other videos, it's the visual library in your head. You need to build it up. Once you have enough visual library it comes naturally.

question for feng or any aspiring concept/design artists, when you're in your work flow...how do you place your reference images and how dependent are you on them? for me its very hard to draw something original without having some kind of unrelated reference to base it off of...does that make me a bad artist?

I wish I could go to your school it is one I actually Am in love with. I was gonna go to another art school but I want one where they actually Take my art seriously im not the best but I know I have a gift hopefully one day someone will give me that Opportunity to Bring my Imagination And Creativity to LIFE! If I had the Money I would be there in a flash. Damn Money!!!! Always stops us from Success But I even then With these videos the motivation Is always there brings back that hunger for art..
