Thanks man. Love those combo cuts. I just don't get a lot of them on video. I have been encouraged to video more.

Thank you. I really like those combo cuts. That was the first time I tried it on a double tatami. It felt so good. But I owe a lot of credit to that sword. It's way easy to cut with.

Awesome video... great stuff guys! I so wish I coulda been there... for the good times, the cutting... and for my shot at a DF Shobu or Oni Bushido! Those are both swords I'd really like to own!
Randy... I cut a lot like you... I like to move in and out of the cutting zone rather then just 'stay in the pocket' as it were.
I really hope UBC does this again, and that I can make it. The gathering at Tom's was such a great time!

Nice cutting, looks like a fun time.
What sword is that guy using at around the 2:17 mark? It looks pretty mean and sharp.

That is Tom's Hanwei Tori Elite, the most amazing cutting instrument I've ever had the pleasure of holding in my hands.
Designed for cutting and it just sails through mats like butter.
Truly an amazing katana.
