  • My production venture's name is Shah Productions and we are working on an indie full Action Feature film project our movie's name is " Gun Point " you can find it on facebook too

and although the shooting has yet to be commenced soon and i am in a thinking row

for the selection of the tape stock to be used of wether to use AY-DVM63PQ stock or High end Digital Master series

  • i have a small film production venture in Pakistan and i own a HVR-Z1p camera and i have used a lot of these AY-DVM63PQ tapes

i can say for sure that these are excellent quality tapes and as of yet i have not experienced any sort of a technical problem with these tapes

Although i prefer using Sony's Digital Master series Tapes for HD shoots which i think are ultra-reliable but they are very very expensive and the image recorded quality difference is not much significant

  • thanks for your review, these are the tapes I have been using for ages;-)

  • I use the Regular AY-DVM60EJ tapes they seem to work well. I just started using MiniDV.

I got a Canon HV40 recently and bough 6 of the Panasonic Ay tapes at Walmart.

I used to use SD Card but needed something more Achievable.
